CUT OFF WIVES’ HAIR BOTH SENT TO PRISON (N.Z.P. A.—Copyright) (Rec. 11 a.m.) NEW YORK, April 1L Two Sammons in reverse were gaoled in Los Angeles to-day for cutting off their wives’ hair. Edward Lee Bruce (26) was held oh a felonious assault charge by fiis wife, Rosalie (22), who said he was an “extremely jealous husband” who had trimmed her two-foot tresses to stubble with scissors and a razor. Bruce was alleged to have said he had done the barbering job to “keep other guys from making" a play for my wife.” •Mrs Bruce, who said she would sue for divorce, added that she would have the hair made into a wig and wear it until her hair grew again. Alexander Moya (31) was arrested on a warrant which said he used scissors to cut off the hair of his wife Florence (31). The police commented that neither man had a hairdressers’ licence.
