MAYFIELD PLUNKET SOCIETY

ANNUAL MEETING HELD The annual meeting of the Mayfield sub-branch of the Plunket Society was held in the Lodge Room recently. The president (Mrs R. Austin) presided over a fair attendance. The annual report showed a good year’s work, with a credit balance of £IOO 8s 3d shown in the balance sheet. A letter of thanks was received from the Matron of Karitane Hospital for a parcel of baby clothing forwarded by the sub-branch. It was also decided to give a donation of £lO to the Karitane Hospital, and to supply the Mayfield rooms with a new infant measuring board. The president presented Mips J. Poff with a gift of flowers and expressed best wishes for a pleasant trip abroad. Mrs Austin welcomed the visitors from Ashburton and presented Mrs L. A. Charles with a shoulder spray. Mrs Charles presided for the election of officers, which resulted: —President, Mrs R. Auti-n; vice-president, Mesdames Jos. Murdoch and K. Moore; secretary, Mrs B. Howden; treasurer, Mrs R. Boniscli; delegates to Ashburton, Mesdames Austin and Jos. Murdoch; trustees, Mesdames Bonisch and Kirkwood; auditor, Mr A. H. Guiney.
