GOLD SPURS
PRESENTATION TO CHAMPION JOCKEY \ (Rec. 10.0 a.m.) LONDON, March 14. • Representatives of every section of the English racing world attended a luncheon in the Savoy Hotel to-day for the champion jockey, Gordon Richards. Richards —champion jockey 22 times and rider of 3966 winners so far—was presented with a pair of gold spurs. The Earl of Rosebery, proposing the toast, compared Richards with W. G. Grace who “raised the status of cricket as Gordon Richards lias raised the status of jockeys.”
