CHILD’S PARTY DRESS CATCHES FIRE
SEVENTY-FIVE PER CENT. OF BODY BURNED (Rec. 9.30) NEW YORK, March 13. Skin from' seven donors was grafted on the badly burned body of Sandra Emert, aged nine ,to-day. Seventyfive per cent, of her body was burned when her party dress caught lire at ’Santa Rosa, California. More than 100 persons responded to an appeal for skin and blood donors. Surgeons working in teams removed strips of skin from seven people. They said the grafts were not permanent, but probably would check the loss of blood. It would take several weeks to determine the success of the operation. - •
