JAPANESE WAR CRIMINALS
PETITION FOR RELEASE SYDNEY", March 12. A. group of former Australian prisoners of war is organising a petition on the Federal Government asking that all Japanese war criminals be released and that further trials be abandoned. The petition give as their reason that the “whole Japanese nation is guilty and should not he allowed to feeTthat its guilt is purged by the fate of a few scapegoats.” The petition is being handled by Mr W. Wallace, one of the seyen men who survived the Sandakan death camp, where 2700 Australians died. .
