Man’s Lucky Escape f, NEW YORK, March 10. George Moore went to sleep on sleepers between the rails of the Southern Pacific Railway line at Oakland, California, < to-day. He was still sleeping after two goods • trains and part of another train had passed over him. > ..agrajg ‘-rjp- • - - ---—«▼•■ - -ijssi A railway employee evidently spotted Moore and called the police to come and take the “body” away. The police, however, found the body breathing heavily. They awakened Moore after some effort. He said he had not heard anything. Moore’s head had been only slightly more than an inch from one rail and his feet about the same distance from the other. He had a slight bruise on the head.
