STUCK TO SEAT
POISON FOR GOERING
(Rec. Noon’) LONDON, Nov. 11. The Associated Press Berlin correspondent says that a German journalist supplied the poison capsule that Hermann Goering swallowed on the eve of his hanging, according to a Munich newspaper. Naming a “reliable source,” the newspaper said: “Just before the end of the Nuremberg trial, a German journalist entered the courtroom, prior to the opening of the day’s session, and to study the defence counsel’s documents. While thumbing through them, he fastened the poison capsule, with a piece of chewing gum, under the seat occupied by Goering.”
