STORMS IN EUROPE

LIGHTNING KILLS TWO PERSONS (Rec. 10.25 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 23. Lightning killed two persons, knocked several unconscious, killed stock and damaged houses and farm crops during thunderstorms last night over West Ireland. Lightning also struck four London houses. Rain fell over most parts of Europe to-day, but in Francs the falls were too far north to affect the bush fire areas south of Bordeaux.

In Belgium heavy rains and thunderstorms ended the'drought and .lessened the fear of forest fires.
