SCANDINAVIAN DEFENCE
DENMARK PREFERS ALLIANCE (Rec. ,12.45 p.m.) LONDON, Jan. 12. The . Danish Foreign Office spokesman said that Denmark Avas more likely to choose a full military alliance Avith Norway and Sweden than take part in the Atlantic Union, reports the Copenhagen correspondent of the Associated Press. Reuter’s correspondent at ,Washington says lha< all Scandinavian Ambassadors at Washington have been recalled to their home capitals for consultation. The consultations are related to an attempt to negotiate a joint Scandinavian defence agreement and the possibility of Norway and Denmark joining the North Atlantic military alliance.
Defence experts of Nonvay, Sweden and Denmark met for the third and final session of the Scandinavian Defence Committee. They Avere expected to discuss standardisation of arms and joint strategy plans in tire event of an attack.
