AN ALLEGATION IN BRITAIN LONDON, January 12. A warning of a Communist plan to disrupt British industry, on the lines of the French action last year, has been given by Mr Arthur Deakin (general secretary of the Transport and General Workers’ Union and president of the World Federation • of Trade Unions) says the industrial correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph.” Mr Deakin, who is a member of the general council of the Trades Union Congress, says in the current issue of bis union journal that the Communist plan is timed for August this year, and is aimed at wrecking the Marshall plan for European aid. • Mr Harry Pollitt, secretary of the British Communist Party, commenting on Mr Deakin’s warning, said: “His statement is a farrago of nonsense.”
