DISPOSAL OF GARBAGE
NEWCASTLE TO CONSIDER N.Z. SCHEME « * . SYDNEY, Jan. 10. The Newcastle Municipal Council has decided to inquire into a proposal by the'Rotorua borough engineer (Mr H. A.- Truman) that the present cost — about £27,000 —of collecting and disposing of garbage, could be eliminated by the introduction of a composting process.
The council will ascertain whether the successful results achieved in Dannevirke on a small scale'could be achieved in Newcastle.
