ASHBURTON LADIES’ CLUB . OPENING DAY There was a. large attendance of members at the opening day of the. Ashburton Ladies’ Golf Club, held yesterday. A Canadian foursome was played, and those present were the guests of the ladies’ captain, Mrs E. R. Easterbrook, at afternoon tea. Results were: —Mesdames C. Hardy and M. Walls, 97, 32-65; Mesdames A. Caithness and R. Kennedy, 95, 29-66; Mesdames J. Mcßae and O. D. Sewell, 95, 26-69; Mesdamesi L. E. Carter and A. Broker, 106, 33-73. •
