MAN MISSING IN BUSH

DISCOVERY AFTER TWO DAYS

(P.A.) WAIROA, April 1. Frank Leach, a single man, aged 26, missing from Kaitawa since Tuesday, was found late this afternoon by a search party. He was, none the worse for his experience. Mr Leach, with two others, went to Lake Waikaretaheke on a deer stalking trip. On reaching the lake they decided to separate,. Mr Leach going off on his own while the other two went in a different direction. It was agreed to reassemble at camp at 4 o’clock.

When Mr Leach did not arrive at the camp, his companions began an immediate search, but without success. They then reported to the police. Constable E. A. Diinn, of Tuai, organised a search party last 5 night. The country where Mr Leach was lost is very rough. Mr Leach, who is employed on the Kaitawa / hydro scheme, originally came from Blackball.
