FOREIGN MINISTERS’ DEPUTIES (Ree. 10.30 a.m.) LOhtpON, April 1. The Big Four Foreign Ministers’ Deputies, in spite of Russia’s offer yesterday to scale down her demands for payment for German assets in Austria to 150,000,000 dollars in convertible currency, spread over six years, made no progress when they met again today. The British and American delegations held that the claim must be considered in connection not only with Austria’s ability to pay but also in connection with the question of Austrian reparations. / Th& British delegation held that Austria should no reparations to any Allied or associated Power, but the Russian delegation claimed that reparations were not under discussion, and at this point the deputies adjourned until to-morrow.
