SPORTS CARNIVAL ABANDONED CYCLING EVENTS ONLY In spite of intermittent rain, the cycling events of the sports carnival, that was to have been held on Saturday afternoon at the Domain, were rfin, witnessed by a fair attendance ,of the public. This is the third carnival this season that the Ashburton Amateur Athletic Club has had to abandon. Members of the Christchurch Amateur Cycling Club, the Avon Cycling Club and the Hornby and Timaru clubs were present. Bishop (40) 3. Time, 2min 27sec. A. Price suffered a spill and was unable to finish in this event.
