NEW WAVE OF ARRESTS
NON-COMMUNIST GERMAN POLITICIANS (Rec. 11.0 a.m.) BERLIN, Mar. 18. The -Socialist press reports that Russians and German Communists are staging a new wave of arrests of nonCommunist German politicians in the Soviet zone. The newspaper “Telegraf” said the purge was aimed chiefly at Christian Democrats and Liberal Democrats, mostly in Halle, where 32 industrial leaders .and public officials have been arrested in the last few days.
