ASHBURTON AFFECTED
MILK SHORTAGE AT TIMARU. Owing to a shortage in the supply of milk at Timaru, there was at midday to-day little possibilty that any milk from there will be available for distribution in Ashburton to-morrow, according to information which reached the Town Clerk (Mr R. C. Major) to-day.- .Every endeavour is being made to effect an improvement in the position or to obtain milk elsew'kere. * The shortage in Timaru will affect three vendors and one dairy in Ashburtop., About 90 gallons a day have been coming from Timaru so far this week.
