DULL, MILD CONDITIONS. A dull, mild atmosphere prevailed at Ashburton to-day. The sky was clouded for the greater part of the day. The maximum temperature yesterday was 54 degrees, and the minimum 44. The temperatures on Sunday were 55.8 and 39.1 degrees. The barometer has fallen from 30.05 inches yesterday to 29.02 to-day. i | TO-DAY'S FORECAST. (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamaru is as follows: — Moderate to fresh north-easterly winds. Cloudy to overcast with scattered rain. Temperatures milder.
