Mr W. R. M. Stewart (manager of the Ashburton branch of the Union Bank of Australia) is on three weeks’ leave. His place is being taken by Mr R. Marlow, accountant at the Christchurch branch.
Dr. W. Guildford Tockl, the newlyappointed representative of the MidCanterbury Centre of the Red Cross Society, was welcomed at a meeting of the Ashburton Borough patriotic Committee last evening.
