NORTH-WEST WIND. Conditions in Ashburton to-day were fine. The sun shone most of the day. There was a north-west wind. The maximum temperature yesterday was 75.4 degrees, andthe minimum 56.4. The temperatures on Wednesday were 67.1 and 52.7. The barometer to-day stood at 29.23 inches, against 29.64 yesterday.
TO-DAY’S FORECAST. (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamaru is as follows: Moderate to strong north-westerly winds. Rain in the ranges, elsewhere lair to cloudy, with mild to warm temperatures. Further outlook: Cool southerly change with showers.
