MAN ELECTROCUTED.

OAMARU, Nov. 26. While working on electric wires in Oamaru this afternoon, Mr Oliver Edward Twist, linesman, employed by the Waitaki Electric £ower Board, received a severe shock and was subsequently taken to the Oamaru Public Hospital for ai’tiflcial respiration. Although on" admission the case appeared hopeless, treatment by mechanical respiration was given in the “iron lung” which was used for the first time in Oamaru. The patient, however, did not respond.
