CHRISTIAN YOUTH.

THE ASHBURTON COUNCIL. The Ashburton Christian Youth Council has held its first regular meeting, the Rev. A. D. Lowe presiding. Representatives from Ashburton churches and the Nurses’ Christian Union were present. Owing to his approaching departure, Mr Lowe tendered his resignation' as president. Mr G. W. Murray was elected president, Miss Margaret Sinclair being appointed secretary, i Arrangements for an afternoon outdoor rally in Baring Square West on Sunday, October 11, were finalised. It was decided that Adjutant Spillett lead the rally and that Mr'Lowe speak. It was stated that the Salvation Army Band would lead the singing. It was decided that Christian Order badges be distributed to those present.
