TWO YEARS PROBATION
GUILTY OF INDECENT ASSAULT. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. At the Supreme Court yesterday, before Mr Justice Northcroft, the accused’s distinguished military record, which included decorations of the D.C.M. and the M.M. earned at Messines and the Somme respectively, was mentioned by Mr D. W. Russell, counsel for Harold Comvay Page, who was charged with indecent assault on a female. His Honor said it was distressing to see in this position a man who had acquitted himself so honourably in the last war. He had besmirched his fine record, but his Honor hoped the resolution that had won him the decorations mentioned would enable the accused to rehabilitate himself. Page was admitted to probation for a period of two years.
