f SHIP SET ON FIRE AT RABAUL. ENEMY USES 100 FLYING BOATS. LONDON, Jail. 21. In Melbourne the Australian Air Minister (Mr A. S.. Drakeford) described a raid on Rabaul, in Ntew Britain, by 100 enemy flying-boats. He said that they set fire to a merchant ship in the • harbour and damaged wharves. Eleven were killed and six injured in the raid. Three of the raiding aircraft were shot down, and several others were damaged. The defence lost several aircraft.
