PLOT IN ARGENTINE.

POLICE ARREST NINE NAZIS. PROPAGANDA FOUND IN SEARCH BUENOS AIRES, August 1.

A plot to overthrow the Government of the Argentine has boon revealed by the police at Parana, who arrested nine persons and seized a large quantity of propaganda documents from a house, the doors and walls of which were decorated with swastikas.

The police §aid that the .plot was centred .in northern Argentina and extended 'to Paraguay, Bolivia, and Brazil.

The Argentine has rejected the German protest against the confiscating of a radio transmitter weighing SOOlb, and has asked for an explanation from the German Embassy why a radio transmitter was travelling as diplomatic mail.

An official statement from the Foreign Ministry said that the German Embassy must export or destrpy the radio because it cannot be used under the Hague Convention, which forbids belligerents to install radio stations in neutral country.

A message yesterday said that after a sharp protest from Berlin the Congressional Committee investigating an-ti-Argentine activities had decided to surrender* the transmitter, which was consigned to the German Embassy, and other confiscated property, including documents in code, photographs, motion picture films, and other propaganda' elements. The Germans complained of a violation of diplomatic immunity and a breach of international law.
