SUDDEN DEATH.
COLLAPSE AT WOOILEN MILLS. Mr Charles Qgilvie Davidson, aged 56 years, of 11 Alford Forest R-oad, Ashburton, collapsed and died suddenly at the Ashburton Woollen Mills last evening. An inquest for identification purposes only was opened this afternoon before the District Coroner (Mr E. C. Bathurst). * Mr Davidson was employed at the Woollen Mills and was about to commence. a night-shift when lie died at about 9 o’clock. He collapsed while sitting in 'the engine room and when Dr. W. R. Ryburn arrived on the scene he was dead. The deceased was a carpenter and labourer by occupation.
