FIRST-AID PASSES.
RED CROSS EXAMINATION ~ / SIXTEEN PASS, ONE WITH HONOURS'. The results of an elementary first-aid examination held by the Red Cross Society on Thursday, July 24, in the Borough Council Chambers have been announced as follow: —■ Passed with Honours —Miss N. Rickard. Passed —Mesdames W. Bell, J. Bennett, R. Cairns, I. Hamilton, W. Heenan, It. Lee and CL Stevens, Misses E. Bell, M. Cates, E. Frainpton, J. Kingsbury, M. Madden, M. McKeage, O. Watt and R Watt. The lecturer for the class was Or. W. R. Ryburn and instruction in bandaging and practice was given by Mrs F. Smallbone and Miss Watson. The examiners were Drs. J. W. Avery and N. Mcllroy, of tire staff of the Ashburton Public Hospital.
