LYTTELTON AND CHRISTCHURCH NORTH, (P.A.) CHRIST CHURCH, July 30. Mr A, J. Macdonnell has been selected as the National Party candidate for the Lyttelton seat. He is a member of the Dominion Council of the party, is aged 38 and conducts an engineering business in the city. The name of Mr G. E. Manning has been forwarded to the National Executive of the Labour Party as,the candidate for the Christchurch North seat held by the Leader of the Opposition. Mr Manning is a member of the City Council, a former chairman of the Tramway Board and or » a it l f‘ ing secretary of the W.E.A. since 1921. ' NATIONALIST FOR NAPIER. (P A ) NAPIER, This Day. Mr M. S.. Spence, an accountant, pt Napier, a member of the Borough Council, has accepted nomination as National candidate for the Napier seat at the nest general election.
