MOTOR VEHICLES.
LARGER NUMBER LICENSED. (P.A.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The Postmaster-General (the Hon. P. C. Webb) stated to-day that at June 30, 250,161 motor vehicles had been licensed for the current year, an in; crease of 6624 or 2.65 per cent., compared with the number licensed at the corresponding date last year. The number of cars licensed, 182,551, represents an increase of 3433 or 1.92 per cent. Commercial vehicle licences number 62,859, higher by 3165 or 5.j) per cent. Motor-cycle licences (10,751) show an increase of 26 or ,24 per cent.
