DROWNED ON DUTY.

THE FATALITY NEAR DUNEDIN (P.A.) DUNEDIN, This Day. The Court of Inquiry investigated the drowning at Taiaroa Heads on Friday of Allan George Malaquin, aged 21, a gunner in the coastal defence, found that deceased was drown by falling from a ledge of rock, no blame being attachable to anyone. The Court also found that deceased was on duty when the accident occurred. The body has not yet been recovered. Gunner Malaquin’s widow and parents reside at Christchurch.
