DISTINGUISHED FLYING CROSS.
(Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, This Day. The Distinguished Flying Cross has been awarded to Pilot-Officer Petei Duggan Smith, of Auckland. Pilot-Officer Smith, who is 24 years of age, was formerly employed by the. Shaw, Savill and Albion Shipping Company. In 1937 he was selected for training with the Auckland Aero Club. He was granted a temporary commission in the R.N.Z.A.F.,, and left for England last year.
