An interesting souvenir from Egypt is on exhibition in the window of a shop in Invercargill. This is a paper knife made from aluminium taken from the first Italian bomber brought down over the New Zealand lines in Egypt. The knife was sent by Sergeant J. D. George, who went overseas with the First Echelon.
