THE WEATHER.
DULL AND MILD AGAIN. The weather was again generally dull in Ashburton to-day, although the atmosphere was mild. In the early afternoon the sky was very cloudy with some fairly dark clouds. The maximum and minimum temperatures yesterday were 68.5 and 43.0 degrees, while those on the previous day were 68.4 and 51.5 degrees. The barometer was steady to-day at 30.13 inches. TO-DAY’S FORECAST. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON), This Day. The Government Meteorologist, at noon to-day, issued the following statement regarding the weather:— An extensive anti-cvclone still covers New Zealand, but a disturbance is developing near Tasmania. The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamaru is as follows : Light to moderate northerly winds, later freshening on the coast; weather fair to fine, with mild to Warm temperatures ; seas slight.
