' For. the second time in, recent months Sir Walter Carpenter, managing-direc-tor of the Australian trading firm of W. R. Carpenter and Company. Ltd., - passed through Auckland on his way ,to the United States to buy shias. He said his mission had been caused by .'.the added needs, for shipping space Brought about by the war, and he he would he able to nyect his requirements in America. Oit his last Visit a- few months ago he bought two freighters for trading.- between Australia and the United States.
