THE PERIOD IN CAMP.
QUESTION OF PRODUCTION. “Most farm lads, I think, look on the camp as a jolly good holiday, but production must be kept up, and we can’t have it both ways if they are to be called up for service,” stated Mr J. W. M. Dart, when setting out a ease before, the South Canterbury Man-Power Committee in Ashburton yesterday afternoon.
“Yes, that is so,” replied the chairman (Mr C. J. Talbot), “but the position is serious and is changing every day, and we must have the trained men.” *
