BEAUTIFULLY SUNNY AGAIN. I Tiro more beautiful winter days than to-day and yesterday could scarcely be wished for. There has been bright sunshine and a complete absence of the chilly, breeze usual at this time of the veer. The Government Meteorologist, at noon to-day, issued the following statement regarding the weather:— An anti-cyclone covers New Zealand and pressure is low over south-eastern Australia. The forecast for the east coast of the South Island from Blenheim to Oamaru is as follows; Light but gradually freshening northerly winds. Weather fair to fine, some frosts to-night, but rather milder day temperatures. Seas slight.
