SOUTH CANTERBURY GAMES.

Three of the matches in the South Canterbury Cricket Asociatidn’s senior competition were won outright on Saturday, the fourth game resulting in a first innings victory. Old Boj’sJ Timaru and Fairview secured r fullpoints over Geraldine, West End and Temuka respectively, while Star defeated High School on the first innings. The weather was . perfect for cricket, and tho wickets were in good order. v

Fail-view, 124 and "107 for four wickets, defeated Temuka 154 and 65 by six wickets. In Fairview’s second innings Donaldson made 56 not out. The successful Temuka bowlers were Stewart six for 53, Hortnon four for 54, and Dawson three for 23. For Fairview, W. Stevens took six wickets for 20 runs and R. Stevens three for 31. Old Boys beat Geraldine by nine wickets, the scores hein? Old Bovs 166 and 27 for one wicket, Geraldine 90 and 102. Kane three for 20. McDonald two for three, Thomson two for 15, Souter two ton.- 12 and Gifford.one for 10 divided the wickets in Geraldine’s innings. Star 218 and 27 for ono wickets beat High School, 112 and 170, by 106 runs on the first innings. Carsons made 52 in School’s second innings. Melford four ’ for six and Brooker three for 38 were the most successful bowlers for. Star in School’s first innings, and in the second R. Taylor took five wickets for 51 runs. Timaru beat'.. West End by 38 runs, tho scores being Timaru 133 and 173, West End 97 and 171. Smith made 55 for Timaru and Davison 43 for West End, on Saturday. Smith also had success with the ball, taking four wickets for 4,7 runs. -
