AUSTRALIAN TOUR CANCELLED. (Received This Day, 9.5 a.in.) MELBOURNE, This Day. The proposed tour of Now Zealand by several leading Australian tennis players lias been cancelled by the Australian Lawn Tennis Association because of war conditions. MID-CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION. Arrangements were madet for the representative tennis match for the Browning Shield on Saturday, at a meeting of the Mid-Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association’s match committee. Tile South Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association notified the Sub-Associa-tion. that its representative team would visit Ashburton on February 10. It was agreed that competition matches' postponed last Saturday should be played at tlie, end of the round. In order to fill a vacancy in the Ashburton County ranking list through P. M. McLauchlan leaving the district, it was decided that R. Morrill (Ashburton Club) be asked to play B. Jordan (Te Marae) for the twelfth position. ASHBURTON CLUB.
