TINWALD TOWN HALL.
DONATION TOWARD IMPROVEMENT. DECISIONS OF THE BOARD. To help toward the cost of the proposed improvements to the town hall, the recently-formed Hall Committee at Tinwald, forwarded the sum of £l2 8s 5d to the Town Board at its monthly meeting- last evening. Those present were: Alessrs H. B. Alillichamp (chairman), H. W. Carpendale, P. P. Frew and J. L. Soal. It was resolved to send a letter of thanks to the Hall Committee for its donation. The Employment Division of the Department of Labour, Wellington, wrote advising that its scheme for the,production of exportable vegetables would be postponed until next season. It was decided to top-dress the footpath- along the main highway through the town district. Consideration of the appointment of a clog registrar was held over until the next meeting of the Board.
