MILITARY SERVICE.
A MATTER OF CONSCIENCE. METHODIST SYNOD VIEWS. That those members of the community who, in obedience to their conscience, feel they cannot bear arms or engage in any form of military duty, should be supported in that attitude by the church to the utmost of its ability, was a resolution supported by the Synod of the South Canterbury Methodist Churches, at its second session in Ashburton yesterday.
