Reuter’s correspondent at Rome ireports that the Government’s declaration that Italy will ■ not take military initiative is considered in. authoritative Fascist circles as tantamount to a declaration of strict neutrality. It is emphasised that Italy has used her utmost forces to reach a peaceful solution. Failing this, it is added, Italy’s best contribution is to help to circumscribe the conflict by not joining. REPORT OF A CAPTURE. GERMAN STEAMER BREMEN. (Received This Day, 8.10 a.m.) NEW YORK, September 3. A powerful New York station intercepted a broadcast from the official Paris station, announcing that the British captured the Bremen and escorted her to a British seaport. ADMIRALTY DENIAL “AT PRESENT.” (Received This Day, 11.20 a.m.) NEW YORK, September 3. The correspondent of the United Press of America, in London states that the Admiralty denied the news “at present” of the capture of the Bremen. CAPTURE OFFICIALLY DENIED. (Received This Dav, 11.45 a.m A LONDON, September 3. The Admiralty officially denied the capture of the Bremen.
