Germany’s ambitions In the - Near East and in India are mentioned in the “Deutscher Lebensraum,” which states that, a trade' agreement having been concluded with Turkey, the Reich is now turning its eyes .to Iran and Iraq. The paper says that ports on the Black Sea and Persian Gulf are growing in importance for Germany. Already the Hamburg-Amerika Line is making arrangements, for' trade with the Persian Gulf, while the Lufthansa Berlin-Damascus-Teherin airline is being extended to Kabul, Afghanistan.
