ROAD SAFETY.
PROCESSION NEXT MONDAY.
CHILDREN TO TAKE PART. The procession of the Transport Department’s floats organised as part of the Road Safety Campaign AA'eek will visit Ashburton next Monday, arriving from Christchurch at 9.30 o’clock and leaving an hour later for the south. Arrangements for the Ashburton visit are somewhat indefinite, but it is understood that the schools are being invited to send the children to one of the lawns in East Street, where the floats will be drawn up, and where a lecture on safety first will bo given. A number of children are to meet the floats at the Borough boundary, and will accompany them to the centre of the town, carrying banners and placards.
