MID-CANTERBURY SUB-ASSOCI-ATION. TOUR N AMENT A.R RANG EM ENTS. Arrangements lor the Mid-Canter-bury Lawn Tennis Sub-Association’s annual handicap tournament, which will be played in Ashburton on January 10 and 17, were made at a meeting of the Association last- evening.
It. was decided to play the senior matches on the Te Marae Courts and the junior matches on the Ashburton courts. The following appointments were made in connection with the tournament : Tournament committee Messrs F. AA. Seldon, N. L. F. Wood, M. Pilbrow, S. Taylor, L. R. Clarke, J. W. M. Dart and AY. T. Corbett. Handicap and Draw Committee — Messrs G. C. Nicoll P. Bonifant, AAb T. Corbett, H. Hawkins, E. Bryant and J. AY. M. Dart. Referee—Mr N. L. F. AVood.
Umpires Committee—Senior: Mr E. M. Gabites, convener, and L. Armstrong. Juniors: Mr H. Hawkins (convener), Messrs C. Parsons, R. AY. Orr, G. Olds, E. Pilbrow and G. C. Nicoll. Mr S. M Graham was appointed secretary of the Association for the ensuing year.
