MEMORIAL HALL.
HAMPSTEAD SOCIETY MEETS. A cup for competition in the novices’ section of the annual chrysanthemum show arranged by the Hampstead Memorial Hall 'Society, has been presented by Mr G. Bowman, it was reported at the meeting of the society last evening. The president (Mr W. J. Miller) presided over a good attendance. It was decided to send a letter of thanks to 311' Bowman for his donation. It was left in the hands of the society’s delegates to make arrangements with the East Ashburton Amateur Swimming Club for the tidying up of the plot behind the Memorial Gates.
