Mr J. 0. Sanders, Superintendent of the New Zealand Bible Training Institute, will arrive in Ashburton tomorrow.

Mr G. Hutchinson, of Auckland, District Governor o£ the fifty-third Rotary District, visited the Ashburton Rotary Club yesterday.

Mr G. A. Gilchrist (president of Ashburton Chamber of Commerce) left for Auckland last evening to attend the annual conference of the Associated Chambers of Commerce.

During the absence of the Rev. D. D. MacLachlan at the general assembly in Dunedin, the Rev. J. B. Freeman, of Mayfield, will have supervision of the Ashburton South Parish.

Miss Muriel D. Clarkson, of Dunedin, has been appointed organist and, choirmaster of St. Stephen’s Church, Ashburton, and will commence her duties on December 1. Miss Clarkson is at present organist at Holy Cross Church, St. Kilda, and assistant organist at St. Paul’s Cathedral, Dunedin. (She holds both the advanced and final grades certificates of the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music, London, the senior certificate of Trinity College London, and theA.T.C.L. (Diploma for organ playing.
