ACCIDENTS & DEATHS.
FOREMAN ELECTROCUTED. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, May 30. A fatal electric shock was received by Mr S. M. Shepherd, aged 60, at Ngahauranga at 3.35 this afternoon. Mr Sheppard who lived in Lower Hutt, was employed by the Wellington Meat Export Co., Ltd., Ngaliuaranga, as yard foreman. At the time of the accident he was helping to dismantle one of the old power poles, and one of the guy ropes came in contact with the nearby power lines. It is thought from the severe burns on the fingers of the right hand that Mr Shepherd must have been holding on to the fence 'when it was struck by tlio dangling rope. He leaves a widow and an adult family of three.
