FRUITLESS SEARCH.
i TWO ESCAPED PRISONERS. (Per Press Association.) AUCKLAND, May 30. The police have not yet traced two prisoners, Ronald Dempsey Crook and Harry Ossie Fielding, who escaped from the Waikane prison camp, about four miles from the National Park Station, on Sunday afternoon. Warders and police formed search parties and enmhed the countryside within a radius of 30 miles ; but without result. There in a suggestion that the two men had an accomplice waiting for them at an appointed place, and that when they met they set out toward Wellington.
