MISSIONARY UNION.
PRESBYTERIANS AT LAGMHOR. The Lagmhor Church was well filled for the annual social afternoon conducted by the Presbyterian Women’s Union. The president (Mrs D. D. MacLachlan) occupied the chair, being assisted by Mrs W. T. Lill and Mrs Thomas. Mrs D. Shaw welcomed the Tinwald and Flemington branches and visiting friends. Greetings were sent to friends who were indisposed. Mrs Wright was welcomed as a foundation member. A social programme, including solos by Miss Jane Sutton, Miss Mavis Shaw, Mrs D. Shaw, and Mrs Biddick was presented. The president welcomed Dr. G. I. Miller', who gave an interesting travel talk. Dr. Miller was thanked on behalf of the Presbyterian Women’s Mission Union by Miss H. Arnold. The Rev. D. T>. MacLachlan in thanking the Lagmhor ladies, spoke of the tasteful decoration of the church, and the excellent preparation made for afternoon tea.
