EAST ASHBURTON CLUB. AN EVENING CARNIVAL HELD. The first carnival for several weeks was conducted last evening by the East Ashburton Amateur Swimming Club. The weather was fairly cold, and the attendance was fair.

The programme was run through in about an hour, some interesting racing being seen. There will be a further carnival next Wednesday. Results:—
